| Saturday, September 6, 2003 Dearest Friends and Fans of Mr. Seamus, It is with much pain and sorrow, our dearly beloved Mr. Seamus passed to the Rainbow Bridge today because of failing health. The public work of Mr. Seamus began when he entered SCBR at the age of 8. He was give the task of being senior mascot and goodwill ambassador for all boxers of the world. Because of his continued failing health and other medical issues, no one ever expected him to be with us that long. He sure did fool everyone. He charmed us with his wit, wisdoms, and good sense of humor many times over these last 3 plus years. His true legacies will be pass on forever and remain in the hearts of those who came to know and love him. | Words can not simply express our gratitude and appreciation for all of your kindness and support. Mr. Seamus was more than a family dog, more than a mascot, but a global leader and an advocate for rescue. Mr. Seamus, was what becomes of a dog who had a second chance and was loved by many caring people around the world. He may not physically be here today, but his spirit will live forever in those hearts he has shined the light on and opened the doors for.
