I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Seamus passed on to the Bridge. I know he thanks you and many others every minute of his last few years. He had a wonderful time with you and he gave all of us so much. He was such a sweet guy. As I sit here in tears trying to write this, I will remember him being ever patient with anyone who wanted to pat or touch him. Never a cross word. We all thank you Janice, for giving Mr. Seamus such a wonderful second chance and for doing so much for SCBR. Sincerely, Harriet, NH
I so enjoyed hearing of his tales and seeing him dressed up and smiling. He was such a wonderful boy and no one could be such an ambassador as he was. I know he will be missed greatly by many including me. But I know this must leave such a void for you. I am so very sorry for your loss. Seamus was blessed to have had you. You gave him such pleasure for the past 3 years. He did more and saw more than probably most Boxers do in a lifetime! Kat & Tigers Mommy's CT
May you run free and happy up and down the bridge. Hugs Tamara/Boyarkas Boxers
Janice, although I never got to meet him, Seamus was a very real part of my life thanks to your willingness to share him with all of us. I thank you for that, and I want you to please know that Seamus will never be forgotten. You gave him such a wonderful, loving, and rich home, and I know how very much you will miss him. Goodnight, sweet Seamus. Cindy/Copper Hill Alaska

Oh Janice, it was such a shock to hear of Mr. Seamus' passing. The two of you were inseparable in my mind - can't imagine thinking of you without him. I hope Bubba and Braille give you lots of extra kisses and snuggles in the weeks to come to help, just a little, ease your loss. Your work with Mr. Seamus has truly been an inspiration to everyone in rescue. Without a doubt his life "made a difference", and no one can ask more in passing on. Hugs to you, Leslie

Oh Janice, I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Seamus passing to the Rainbow Bridge. He has been such a wonderful role model for all of our boxers. I know he has left a hole in your life especially, but also in the hearts of everyone who knew him personally as well as in legend from your wonderful emails. I know you had a very important part in helping him reach his potential - as you have with Bubba and Braille. I know this is a very sad time for you. I shall look forward to reading more about him in his chronicles. Thank you for helping your three to be what they have became. Adele, VT
I was shocked to see your email about this this morning since you had just posted about your trip with him. I know his health was failing and he was old, but for some reason it still took me by surprise. He will always be remembered and loved by a lot of people. He was (and still is) a very special Boxer boy who got a second chance at life. How are you doing? How's Braille seem? Lots of love and gentle hugs, Run free my sweet boy, we love you, Kristen
My heart is breaking right now, but at the same time I am so glad he was able to spend his last years in the lap of luxury with you, Janice. You are in my thoughts and prayers today. Run Free, Mr. Seamus! Run free. Bekah
I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Seamus. This boy grabbed my heart from the day one and when Janice took him under her wing, Seamus's life began. I had the privilege of meeting, walking, hugging and playing with this wonderful dog at the boxer bash just a week ago! Janice, THANK YOU for all you did with Mr. Seamus and the life you gave him. He is an icon for all us that do rescue. He is the reason we do it. What a wonderful dog he was. Mr. Seamus, you will be sadly missed but NEVER forgotten. You will shine in all of our hearts forever. It's truly a sad day. Hugs to you! Elizabeth

I am the director of BoxAR Rescue in central AK, and I received the link to your tribute for Mr. Seamus this morning. I must tell you that my heart breaks for you and all who ever were close to Mr. Seamus. I guess you could say that I have a "special love" for the elder boxer, especially rescues. Your Mr. Seamus had me bawling like a baby this morning. He was beautiful. There is nothing prettier than a gray boxer in my opinion. Thank you all for making his last 4 years special. . God bless you. Sandi (message edited for space)
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Seamus. I can't believe he's gone. I'm sure you must be devasted and what a loss for SCBR also. He was such a wonderful, wonderful dog. You have always been such an asset to rescue and to the Boxer world in general. You educated so many people about using Gentle Leaders and training dogs with positive reinforcement. You also teach a lot of people that a dog with disabilities (Braille) have so much to offer. I know Mr. Seamus was was an important part of your education campaign and I have often visited his website. I know you must be in a lot of pain right now, but I hope you will continue your mission. Godspeed, Mr. Seamus! Claudia Green Acres Boxer Rescue of WI
