I am so so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Seamus. What a wonderful ambassador of our breed he was and what an angel you are for having loved and cared for him for the time he was with you. I just know that he is at the bridge telling all our babies what a wonderful mom you were and those who didn't who only heard of the wonderful things he did for all of us. I know your pain all too well and I understand the loss you are feeling. Know that he knows he was loved and needed and that all he could have asked for was granted to him by you. God Speed Mr. Seamus to a higher life. Dee
Dear Janice, I wrote earlier, before seeing that you had set up the tribute page for Mr. Seamus. The slide show tribute for your boy touched me deeply. I'd like to add the following: I was deeply saddened upon hearing of the passing of your special boy. Though I never had the chance to meet him personally, I felt, through your pictures, his web page and our correspondence over the past three years, that I had come to know him as one of my "mephews'. I believe Mr. Seamus took a special place in my heart from the first time I saw him, in part, because I had just lost my own senior boy when I first saw that handsome face when you first brought him home. The heaviness of my own loss was lightened by the very fact that you brought this 'old feller' into your home. From the love and laughter that he gave so many, I also came to also realixe how much one's life can be enriched by making a spot in your home and heart for the seniors out there in need of a loving home. Your boy gave...and will continue to give...light, love and laugther to many. He certainly gave more in years than any of us could have hoped for. He will be deeply missed by us all. I feel blessed to have had him as a part of my life. Love and gentle hugs to you and your family, Uncle Tim
Oh what a heavy heart you must have today! My thoughts and prayers hope that you find solace in knowing what a wonderful home that you gave to Seamus when he truly began to live at 8. What a tremendous amount he gave back to you and all the people he touched in his Senior years. I recall the day you brought him out and he had such fun barking at the horses, and the day he barked at the horses in the Maine State Parade two years ago. What a truly wonderful life you allowed him to live! You're both definately shining stars , and I'm sure he waits patiently at the bridge for you. Rest comfortably my friend Seamus! The Stonehouse Family How about the 4th of July parade in Sanford, Me when he was dressed in his patriotic outfit Uncle Seamus and in the middle of Main Street peed! He really didn't care where he was when he had to go.
We will always have a special spot in our heart for Mr. Seamus. We will always be thankful that we had him stay at our house the weekend before he became so ill. I knew he was special but spending time with him made me realize just what a real sweetie he was. He never rested until his work was done and I am convinced that he is now doing his work from a better location. He loved his family, was just so happy with his life and really did have everything under control. Mr. Seamus made me realize just why we all do rescue. Seamy will always have a big part of my heart and I will never forget him and all that he taught me. Rest in peace my sweet friend. We all just love you. I have really been bothered by losing Mr. Seamus. I wanted him to be here forever. He can never be replaced and he will never be forgotten. Hope you are doing okay today. I know it is very very hard. Stay busy which I know you can do. Take care of you. I think about you often. Dan, Jackie and all of us at Boxer'In On The Lake, NY
Well Janice he was a special boy, and the BEST ambassador to the boxer breed. It is with a heavy heart that I sent this. Mr. Seamus will be greatly missed by all of us who knew of him. You are a wonderful person who gave him the chance to leave such a great legacy to all boxers. He's now playing at the feet of God. He gave love and was loved in return. Allen Avon Park, FL
Wel will all miss the lad, I hope he has met up with some of my Indians and they are running around together. We have had some reach those senior ages too. They are wonderful as seniors! People who have not adopted a senior have no clue...do they? My sympathies to you and your family and all his pals at SCBR Donna in Western OR
I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Seamus has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I know how hard this must have been for you. Mr. Seamus was one lucky dog to have found such a wonderful home to live out his years in and lucky to have found such a wonderful person as you to call Mom. With sympathy, Jean
I can't begin to tell you how saddened I was to read your email. I sat and pondered what an extraordinary gift Mr. Seamus was and what predestined event had caused him to enter your life. He was certainly blessed by your loving care and I am sure you were equally blessed by his being a part of your life. Please let me express my gratitude as a boxer owner for your dedication and love to this wonderful boxer breed. Mr. Seamus' life was certainly a testament to that dedication and thousands of others were in turn blessed by his ability to make them smile and realize that boxers are wonderful dogs that deserve that second chance if we will open our hearts. It is with tears and much sadness that I say: Sleep sweet Mr. Seamus, you will be missed. Gentle hugs ~ Nina
I'm so sorry to hear about your boy Mr. Seamus. He did a wonderful job for SCBR and made people aware of rescue. He was one in a million and could never replaced. He will send another boxer to us to be the SCBR mascot, angels work that way. I hope your doing ok, it's never an easy thing! Have comfort knowing he will always be looking out for you, for you saved him and gave him the life all dogs deserve! Take care of yourself. Gizelle, MA
Janice we just want to say how sad we were to read of Mr. Seamus's passing to the Rainbow Bridge. We've lit a candle to help guide him on his way. We will miss his write-ups on the SCBR site. Maybe Braille or Bubba would like to continue in his footsteps and do the writing! So to you and your family...we send our deepest sympathy. James & Diana, NY
